Yes you can! you see,
driving a car has got nothing to
do with what you see on the TV
or in movies. It's not
even like what you see your
parents or "some" people do.
Driving a car is about you and
who you are. How you
perceive yourself and how you want
others to perceive you.
Driving a car is as
individualistic as the cloths
you wear or how you make your
whole life. Driving a car
is something you learn to do by
yourself. It is you.
Yes you can drive a car.
By making the decision
that learning to drive a
car is something you
want to do. That
is the starting point.
From there you embark on
the most exciting
adventure of your life.
Your first lession will
start with the basics of
how the car works, how
to use the steering
wheel and the pedals -
gears if you want to
learn a manual or an automatic if
you prefer.
From there you learn how
to drive in a straight
line - slowly at first
but from there and as
your confidence grows,
faster to meet your
needs.
Corners and circles,
figure eights and
U-turns as you become
familiar with the feel of the
car. Merging into
traffic and
round-a-bouts, parking
the car and when you are
ready, hurtling down the
freeway with the big
people.
Patience with yourself
as you allow yourself
the time to get used to
the car and how it
feels. As you
develop your patience
you will find that you
take this with you
everwhere you go.
You learn to avoid
stress (road rage) by
learning to exercise
control over your own
emotions.
The whole point of dring
a car is not to go as
fast as you can.
It's not even really
about getting from here
to there. Driving
a car is the most
pleasurable and
exhilerating experience
you can even have.
Lasts a lot longer than
other things as well.
Learn to develop your
patience and people will
respect you, they will
want to be in the car
you with. You will
make them feel safe and
from there they will
learn to share what you
are experiencing.
The point we stress to new
drivers is this. You
wern't born driving a car.
This will be your first time
behind the wheel. As we
mentioned, have patience, listen
to what we are asking you to do.
Accept that this is something
that you will need to practise
and that it will take time.
It's always hard to listen to
someone else and do what they
tell you to do. Your
natural instincts are to do what
you feel is right and YES, the
time will come when you will
need to take over from us as the
instructor and learn to fly all
by yourself.
We know this will happen.
We just ask to to begin with,
you listen to us. We will
know when you are ready to go.
We will be the first to let you
know.
But to start with. Please.
Listen to us first. And
yes, from there, you will be
safe.
Happy learners
First time before
the wheel and I have fno idea about how
I will go, but I am as excited as all
can be. I hope I dont crash the thing,
I would be so embarressed.
Hey, I can do this...

Happy new drivers
I was concerned
at first because I had no idea what this
was all about. I knew I could
drive a car. I hoped I could drive
car and now, here I am, with my licence.
How about that?

It is fun
I was so
worried. Everyone said it was fun and
that I would enjoy it but I had no idea
that it would be so much fun. I am
still learning with a lot to learn but I
am learning to drive a car.
